1. About us and these terms

These terms apply when you enrol a child on a Witfind Academy course. Please read them before you enrol. They tell you who we are, how we provide our courses, how you and we may change or end the contract, and what to do if there is a problem.

Our Website Terms of Use also apply, as does our Privacy Notice.

2. You must be 18 to enrol a child

Only an adult aged 18 or over can enrol a child and agree to these terms. The contract is between us and you, the parent or guardian, not between us and your child. You are responsible for payment and for your child's conduct in class.

By enrolling, you confirm you have parental responsibility for the child, or the permission of someone who does.

3. The courses we provide

Enrichment courses in Yoruba, Financial Literacy and Coding run for 36 live lessons across three terms, following the school year and excluding half terms and holidays. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes. For the 2026 to 2027 year, lessons run from Saturday 5 September 2026 to Saturday 17 July 2027.

Saturday enrichment lessons run at 11:00am UK time for Financial Literacy and 12:30pm UK time for Yoruba. Lesson times are UK time and do not change for other time zones.

Minimum ages are set for teaching and safeguarding reasons and we apply them. If a child is enrolled who is below the minimum age for that course, we will contact you to move them to a suitable alternative or to refund the fee. Where a child under 10 is taught Yoruba or Coding, this is one to one, arranged by enquiry, with a parent or guardian present throughout.

Course content is set out on each course page. We describe what will be taught. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, grade or school place.

4. How the contract is formed

You enrol through our website. After you place an order we will send you an email confirming it. The contract between us starts when we send that confirmation.

If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and will not charge you. This can happen where a child is below the minimum age for the course, where we cannot verify your payment, or where a course is not going ahead.

5. Your right to change your mind

Because you enrol online, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to change your mind within 14 days of the date on your order confirmation. You do not need to give a reason.

Most families enrol more than 14 days before lessons begin. In that case, if you change your mind within the 14 days you get a full refund.

If you ask us to start providing the course during those 14 days, and your child attends a lesson or accesses course materials in that period, you can still cancel, but we may keep a proportionate amount for what was supplied before you told us. We will confirm the figure before we refund.

To change your mind, email info@witfindacademy.com before the 14 days end. Refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days of us agreeing you are entitled to one.

6. Prices and payment

There are two ways to pay. The annual package is a single payment for the full academic year. The monthly package spreads payment across 12 monthly instalments and costs more in total.

Prices for 11+ Preparation and GCSE Support are shown on those course pages and apply from the date each course starts.

Fees cover the live lessons, workbooks, homework, quizzes and access to lesson recordings for the academic year. Prices include VAT where it applies.

Discounts may be available if you enrol more than one child, or more than one course for the same child, at the same time. Contact us before you enrol so we can apply it. Discounts cannot be combined.

The first payment is taken when you enrol. Monthly instalments are then taken on the same date each month for 11 further months. Payments are collected by Stripe.

If a price on our site is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have recognised it as an error, we do not have to provide the course at that price.

7. If a payment is missed

If a monthly instalment fails, we will email you and try again. If payment has not been made within 14 days of the due date, we may suspend access to lessons, recordings and course materials until the account is brought up to date.

If the account remains unpaid after that, we may end the contract. Access to lessons, recordings and materials will end at that point. We may charge interest on overdue amounts at 4% a year above the Bank of England base rate.

8. Ending the contract after the 14 days

If you want to end it
The courses are sold as a full academic year of teaching. After the 14 day period described above has passed, we do not refund fees already paid if you decide to stop, and where you pay monthly the remaining instalments for the academic year fall due.

This does not apply where you are ending the contract because of something we have done wrong. You have a right to end the contract and receive an appropriate refund if we have breached these terms, if we tell you about an upcoming change to the course that you do not agree to, or if we suspend the course for more than four consecutive teaching weeks for reasons within our control.

If we want to end it
We may end the contract if you do not make a payment when it is due and still do not pay within 14 days of us reminding you, or if you or your child seriously or repeatedly breach these terms or our conduct standards.

What happens to recordings and materials
Access to lesson recordings and course materials ends when the contract ends, for any reason. Please download anything you want to keep before that point. Recordings for the 2026 to 2027 academic year are deleted from our systems on 31 August 2027.

9. How lessons run

All lessons are live and taught by an experienced tutor. Every lesson is also recorded and made available afterwards, so a child who misses a lesson can catch up.

Cameras and microphones
  • Student cameras are off at all times
  • Student microphones are muted by default. A tutor may unmute a student for a short spoken contribution and will then mute again
  • The lesson chat is available throughout and is the main way students take part
Because lessons are recorded, a spoken contribution or a chat message will form part of the recording. By enrolling, you agree to this as part of how the course is delivered.

What you need
You need a device with a working internet connection, speakers or headphones, and a microphone. We are not responsible for a lesson your child cannot join because of a problem with your own equipment or connection, and no refund is due in that situation. The recording will be available afterwards.

10. Changes to lessons and tutors

Tutors who teach our courses are supplied to us under contract by a partner organisation. We may change the tutor teaching a course at any time, including where a tutor does not meet our standards. Where we do, we will teach the same course content.

We may need to move or reschedule a lesson. If we do, we will give you as much notice as we can and will either run a replacement lesson or make a recording available. We may make minor changes to course content to reflect changes to exam specifications or to improve teaching.

If we need to make a significant change to the course, the lesson time or these terms, we will tell you and you may then contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any part of the course paid for but not received.

11. Conduct in class

We expect students to be respectful to the tutor and to other students, to follow instructions, and to keep the chat relevant to the lesson. Students must not share personal contact details in the chat, record or screenshot lessons, or share their login with anyone else.

If a student's behaviour disrupts teaching, we may remove them from a lesson and contact you. If it continues, we may end the contract. No refund is due where we end the contract for this reason.

12. Safeguarding

We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Where we have a concern that a child may be at risk of harm, we will act on it, and that can include sharing information with the local authority, the police or other agencies.

Tutors will not contact your child privately or outside our platform, and will not ask a child for personal contact details. If anyone claiming to represent Witfind Academy contacts your child directly, tell us at safeguarding@witfindacademy.com immediately.

13. Our responsibility for loss or damage

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the services, including the right to receive services carried out with reasonable care and skill.

We are not liable for business losses. We provide our courses for domestic and private use.

Neither of us is responsible for failing to meet these terms because of something outside our reasonable control. If that happens we will contact you and either arrange an alternative or, where the delay is substantial, allow you to end the contract and receive a refund for any part of the course paid for but not received.

14. If there is a problem

Contact us at info@witfindacademy.com or on +44 7343 086860 and tell us what has gone wrong. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights where services are not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Advice is available from Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk.

15. Other important terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you in writing if this happens, and we will make sure the transfer does not affect your rights under the contract.

You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person if we agree in writing.

This contract is between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce any of its terms.

Each paragraph of these terms operates separately. If a court decides that any of them is unlawful, the remaining paragraphs remain in full force.

If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking the contract, that does not mean you do not have to do those things, and it does not prevent us taking steps against you later.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Something here unclear?

Ask us before you enrol. We would rather explain it now than have you find out later.
