We amend these terms from time to time. Check this page when you use the site so you know which terms apply. The effective date at the top tells you when they last changed.
We may update and change the site to reflect changes to our courses, our users' needs and our priorities. We do not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons, and we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
Accounts must be opened by an adult aged 18 or over. If you set up an account for your child, you are responsible for it and for what happens on it.
Treat your login details as confidential. Do not share them with anyone outside your household. We can disable an account at any time if we reasonably believe the login details have been misused, or that these terms have been broken.
You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Break any applicable law or regulation, or do anything unlawful or fraudulent
- Harm or attempt to harm a child in any way
- Post or send anything that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, threatening, or that promotes discrimination, violence or illegal activity
- Bully, insult, intimidate or humiliate another person, including in a lesson chat
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are
- Share personal contact details, your own or anyone else's, in a lesson chat
- Transmit any virus, or any code designed to harm computer software or hardware
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, our servers, or any system connected to them
- Use any automated system to scrape, copy or monitor the site
We decide whether these standards have been broken. If they have, we may warn you, remove content, suspend or withdraw your account, take legal action, or disclose information to law enforcement where we are required or believe it necessary.
Anything you or your child uploads or types on our site, including homework and chat messages, must meet the standards above. You are responsible for it, and you agree to cover any loss we suffer if it breaches those standards.
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us a licence to use, store and copy it so we can provide the service, for example to mark homework, run a lesson recording and support a safeguarding investigation.
We may remove any content that in our reasonable opinion breaches these terms.
We own or license all intellectual property rights in our site and in everything published on it, including course materials, workbooks, slides, quizzes and lesson recordings. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may view and use course materials and recordings for the personal, non-commercial education of the child enrolled. You must not copy, share, publish, resell, screen record or distribute them, or make them available to anyone outside your household.
You must not remove any copyright or other notice from material you download or print.
Content on this site is provided for general information. It is not advice you should rely on for any particular decision. Exam board specifications, entrance test formats and school admission arrangements change, and you should check the current position with the relevant board, school or local authority.
