A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things between pages and between visits, such as the fact that you are logged in.
This page explains which cookies we use on www.witfindacademy.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains everything else we do with personal information.
We currently use strictly necessary cookies only. These are the cookies the site cannot work without. They keep you logged in, keep your account secure, remember what is in your basket at checkout, and let payments complete safely.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, because without them the service you asked for cannot be provided. That is why you will not see a cookie banner on our site at the moment.

We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookie that tracks you across other websites. We do not allow advertisers to place cookies through our site, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of any child.
Our platform can offer sign-in through other accounts, such as Google or Apple. If you choose to sign in that way, that provider will set its own cookies and will receive information about your sign-in. Those cookies are governed by that provider's own policies, not ours.
If you would rather not share anything with those providers, create an account using an email address and password instead.
We expect to add measurement tools so we can see which pages parents find useful, and we may run paid advertising. Both involve cookies that are not strictly necessary.
Before any of that is switched on, we will do three things.
- Add a consent banner that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, with rejecting as easy as accepting
- Set no non-essential cookie until you have chosen
- Update this page to name each new cookie, say what it does and how long it lasts
If you are reading this page and there is no banner on the site, it is because there is nothing yet that needs your consent.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser has a privacy or cookies section that lets you do this, and offers help pages explaining how.
Be aware that blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will stop parts of our site working. You may not be able to log in, join a lesson, or complete a payment.
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not currently act on it. This may change if a standard is adopted.
We will update this page whenever the cookies on our site change. The effective date at the top tells you which version applies.
